Hear me girl, you tell me you love me, but you've been seen with somebody else. If this is love I'd rather be lonely. Two words... Northern Soul. A way of living and state of mind. A culture raised in England blooming out of the Mod Scene. Transformed by those demos that didn't make it in the eyes of Motown, but were worshiped by the kids looking for an upbeat song they could really dance to. Ants in my pants, for something that really cooks. 1970's England. An escape from the cruel boredom of reality that dragged on in the small towns of Northern England. The night brought fourth the life of the youth. Migrating to Dance clubs like the Wigan Casino or The Twisted Wheel where legendary all-nighters took place. This isn't a dance of perfection or a dance of dependence. This is a dance of the moment. You take what you've got and give it your heart and soul. As if it were your last minute of life. All styles united in uniqueness and all souls connected to the groves on that record.
We've gotta KEEP THE FAITH.
